In 2007 we added one more day to better serve EMS personnel (Thursday), and this year we done it again. We'll have a full day of training on Wednesday April 2 for Emergency Medical Dispatchers, Paramedics, and four hours for EMS Leaders and Trainers. Once again this year, pre-conference workshops will be available for First Responders and EMT's of all skill levels, Trainers and Educaters, EMS Leaders, or any person who desires to operate in one of these positions. The general Conference is Saturday and Sunday, has general sessions in the morning, and in the afternoon attendees have a choice of sessions to attend. Plus, sessions sponsored by Medtronic will help ensure ample time for cardiac emergencies . Unless specified, speakers make every attempt to cover the material for all skill levels. Plus, vendors will be on hand starting Saturday morning and continuing through Sunday afternoon with a variety of products to display. For EMS Leaders, Managers, or those who wish to become one, 12 hours of interactive time will be offered, beginning Wednesday afternnon through Thursday evening. If you are involved (or want to be ) in training or educating EMS personnel, on Thursday April 3, 2008,several workshops may interest you. Technology for Trainers, and Using the Field as a Classroom are two workshops you should attend. On Friday April 4, 2008, conference attendees may wish to attend one or more specialized sessions. For Basic Life Support personnel , Trauma Skills Workshop is a half day workshop that sharpen your trauma assessment and packaging skills. Also at the basic level, the Airway Management and AED Skills is a must! Also, a four hour MCI Management workshop, and a CPR Renewal class will be available.
Intermediate Cardiac
Life Support (ICLS)
is a 8 hour workshop designed specifically for EMT-I's. This has been a very popular workshop for
14 years, and has been
changed slightly to cover the new material in the Intermediate scope of
practice and challenge some of the more experienced EMT-I's. |
